Shoshana Magnet
PhD Candidate, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Institute of Communication Research

Shoshana Magnet is a PhD candidate, SSHRC doctoral fellow, and video artist at the Institute of Communications Research at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She received her undergraduate degree from McMaster University in Arts and Science, and her Master's degree from the University of Toronto in Sociology and Equity Studies. Her videos have screened at festivals in New York, Toronto, and the Czech Republic. Her published work has appeared in The Journal of Communication Inquiry, Canadian Woman Studies/les cahiers de la femme, Qualitative Inquiry, Atlantis and New Media & Society.
