Conference Overview The Concealed "I": Anonymity, Identity and the Prospect of Privacy Conference was organized and presented by the On the Identity Trail Project and was held on March 4-5 2005. The Conference was hosted by the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law and was made possible by the sponsorship contributions of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Department of Justice, Bell Canada and Microsoft. The conference attracted more than 200 attendees and began on the evening of March 3, 2005 with a party at Bar 56 in the Byward Market to celebrate the upcoming special issue of the University of Ottawa Law & Technology Journal, which is dedicated to the themes of anonymity, identity and privacy.
